The Sociology Students of Color (SSOC) is an organization focused on supporting BIPOC sociology doctoral students. We focus on designing strategies to overcome overt and covert forms of racism at our institution, while also taking the time to recognize our professional and personal achievements. We encourage our peers through:

• Sharing of resources,
• Regular meetings,
• Organizing on critical issues facing BIPOC students, and;
  
• Supporting our members through workshops, training, and other professional development
